Happy fall! If you’re ready to hop on a hayride, brave a haunted house, explore a corn maze or pick pumpkins in Hampton Roads…here are all the places you can go!
Pumpkinville Farm: Pumpkinville is a fun, seasonal treasure located in Toano, VA and is owned and operated by a small family farm in nearby Barhamsville, VA. Families can pick their own pumpkin from our patch or choose from the large selection in the yard. There are lots of free activities such as the hayride that runs the perimeter of the field, a cornfield maze, bean bag toss, ring toss and other games.
Wood’s Orchards: The Hampton, Virginia Farm Market offers a pumpkin patch, apples, sweet potatoes – 11 varieties so far, squash – yellow, butternut, spaghetti, acorn and one more yet to be identified, muscadine/scuppernong grapes and loads of pumpkins/gourds in all shapes and sizes available.
Walk of Terror: 65 Saunders Rd, Newport News, Virginia. Walk of Terror is not for the faint of heart! Graphic scenes and scary things. Don’t trust what you see (or hear). Not recommended for children.

Bergey’s Breadbasket: The annual Corn Maze is a Chesapeake tradition. Monday- Friday admission includes: Corn Maze, Soybean Maze, Kiddie Maze & Petting Zoo. Saturday admission includes: Corn Maze, Soybean Maze, Kiddie Maze, Petting Zoo PLUS A Wagon Ride & One Corn Gun Shot
Chubby’s Pumpkin Festival: Chubby’s offers a huge pumpkin and gourd selection including Heirloom & Fancy Pumpkins as well as Wheat Straw Bales, Corn Stalks & other Fall Decor! “THE CHUBBY CAULDRON” snack shack features Fresh Gooey Caramel Apples, “Chubby’s” Kettle Corn, Popcorn, and more.
Cullipher Farm: Pick your own apples AND pumpkins. Plus, enjoy an 8 acre corn maze, sunflower fields, and a play area for children.
Darden’s Country Store: Smithfield’s Country Store offers kids activities available such as Hayland, Corn Bins, Corn Maze, Petting Zoo, tons of picture taking opportunities and so much more!
Flannigan’s Farm: Located in Virginia Beach, pumpkins and a corn maze will be available this October.
Great Bridge Pumpkin Patch: Great Bridge Pumpkin Patch offers pumpkin picking, hayrides, an inflatable playland, and for those wanting to experience something scarier, there is a haunted trail called Terror Woods.
Historic Greenbrier Farms Nursery: The 15 ACRE pumpkin patch lets you pick-your-own pumpkins and includes a free hayride. Sunflower fields will be open based on bloom times. Stop by the farmers market and purchase your Pumpkins, Mums, Pumpkin Butters and more.
A Haunting at Greenbrier Farms runs through October 31st featuring 6 consecutive Haunt Attractions.
Hickory Ridge Farm: The Chesapeake farm offers you-pick pumpkins and sunflowers, along with the homemade cider donuts, pumpkin bread and more. Take a hayride with characters to view along the way and kids can explore the Children’s Corn Maze, play houses, sand piles, and a hay mountain to climb and slide down.
Howl O’Scream: Busch Gardens Williamsburg’s annual event returns with five haunted houses, four terror-tories™, four sinister shows, two party zones and unsuspecting horrors awaiting their victims at every turn.
Hunt Club Farm Harvest Fair: The Harvest Fair opens Saturday, September 25th from 10am to 6pm and will continue everyday through October 31st. Our hayrides are back. Bring your masks for the hayride. Enjoy vendors, Petting Farm, Bird Walk, live DJ, games, TreeWalk Adventure, hayride and pumpkin patch. Tickets available on line at Hunt Club Farm’s website.
Haunted Hunt Club Farm: Looking for something spookier? The Haunted Hayride is BACK! Tickets available online for all haunted nights! New this year to Haunted Hunt Club Farm is DEATH ALLEY! Bring your mask! Masks will be required in busy areas on the farm, in queue-lines and on the Day Time Hayride and Haunted Hayride. Covid and Mask policies subject to change as required by CDC and local guidelines.
