Camp joined the Navy 16 years ago. Today, Camp serves as an electronic technician chief aboard USS Truxtun.

“I wanted to do something with my life,” said Camp. “I was a cashier at Food Lion before joining the Navy.”

Growing up in Virginia Beach, Camp attended Salem High School and graduated in 2005. Today, Camp relies upon skills and values similar to those found in Virginia Beach to succeed in the military.

“I learned to expect the unexpected; my area always has terrible traffic that seems to come out of nowhere,” said Camp.

These lessons have helped Camp while serving aboard USS Truxtun.  Read more here.
