Sleep Hack Developed By The Military To Make You Fall Asleep In 2 Minutes Goes Viral

Having trouble falling asleep?

There’s a military technique that might help. TikTok user Justin Agustin went viral for demonstrating the technique in a post which has over 6.6 million views.

Agustin says the trick was developed in the military to help soldiers fall asleep anytime, anywhere and under stressful conditions.

He explains, “First, you need to calm your body and systematically relax and shut down each part of your body from head to toe.”

Start by relaxing the muscles in your forehead.  “Relax your eyes, your cheeks, your jaw and focus on your breathing,” he instructs.

Next, go down to your arms and shoulders, keep both loose and relaxed.  Continue to relax each part of your body down to your feet and imagine the warm sensation traveling from your head to your toes.

While doing this, clear your mind of any stresses by imagining one of two scenarios:

1. Imagine your lying on a canoe on a calm lake with nothing but a clear blue sky above you.

2. You’re lying in a black velvet hammock in a pitch black room.

If you get distracted, repeat the phrase “Don’t think” for 10 seconds and it can help you fall back into deep breathing and peaceful visualization.

He says out of those who practice the technique every night for six weeks and master it, 90% are able to fall asleep within two minutes.
